Customer Advisor
Full Time – 36.75 hours per week | 3 Month Fixed Term Contract | UK Pay Rate: £14.17/hour (inc. £1.07 location allowance) | Fully remote or B&Q Croydon store location
About the Role
We believe home improvement can transform lives. As a Customer Advisor at B&Q, you’ll bring joy and confidence to customers by offering expert advice, product knowledge, and dedicated service. This role is ideal for those who love debates and discussions, crave learning, and thrive in customer-centric environments.
As part of our retail team, your day-to-day tasks won’t just about sales. You’ll also:manage stock, set up displays, promote a welcoming store atmosphere, and enhance customer confidence.
For those who enjoy creativity and problem-solving, you’ll receive on-the-job training in paint mixing and cutting timber.
What You’ll Do
- Solve customer conundrums on how to enjoy beauty, style or convenience—in their home, garden or community.
- Inspire customers through engaging conversations.
- Sell product choices and promote additional aspirational additions we might offer to improve their experience.
- Reduce waste and increase sales opportunities.
- Stock and categorise inventory for the ever-changing retail mix.
- Quickly move displays and personalise installation methods to ensure our tills are filled.
- Adapt to the customer base as it evolves—and with it, our in-store product.
