About MIB
At MIB, our people are passionate about making roads safer by removing uninsured and hit-and-run drivers from our roads. In partnership with the Police, Insurers, and Government, our collective goal is to eliminate this issue—for now, we compensate victims quickly, fairly, and compassionately.
Last year, we supported over 34,000 people affected by uninsured and hit-and-run incidents and paid out £400 million in compensation to help victims rebuild their lives.
About the Role
As a Customer Advisor, you’ll play a crucial role in tackling uninsured driving by handling multi-channel enquiries in a professional, proactive, and customer-focused way. You’ll work closely with the Police to ensure uninsured motorists are removed from the roads.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional customer service at all times.
- Answer incoming calls and deliver polite, professional, and proactive interactions.
- Respond to customer queries across multiple channels, ensuring responses are handled within agreed timescales.
- Accurately log enquiries using MIB’s in-house systems, capturing all relevant details.
- Compl**, compliance with data protection policies, and adherence to company procedures.
- Support in fostering a high-performance workplace culture.

Requirements
Skills & Experience
- Experience in a customer service role, preferably dealing with multi-channel enquiries (phone, email, chat, etc.).
- A genuine enthusiasm for assisting customers and addressing their needs.
- Strong customer service expertise with a proven track record.
- High level of attention to detail with excellent accuracy.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general computer literacy.
- Exceptional telephone manner and communication skills.
- Strong listening and questioning abilities to gather detailed, relevant information.
- Ability to work independently while adhering to established procedures.
About the Opportunity
- Job Title: Customer Advisor – Police Helpline
- Salary: £19,830 per annum
- Hours: 27.5 hours per week (Monday–Friday, 10am–4pm)
- Location: Milton Keynes
- Contract Type: 6 months Fixed-Term Contract (FTC)
- Remote/Support: Hybrid working (2 days in office per week)
- Equipment: Laptop/IT kit provided
- Start-Up Allowance: £320 (before tax)
