Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with internal teams to understand business requirements and ensure the correct customer data is selected for targeted communications.
  • Execute data selection using SAS and SQL to ensure precision in targeting, especially for operational and regulatory campaigns.
  • Maintain a strong focus on data quality, ensuring that selections are accurate and aligned with business needs.
  • Work within tightly controlled environments to deliver accurate and timely data selections while adhering to rigid processes.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of data targeting processes and methodologies.

Requirements

To be successful as a Customer Analytics Manager, you should have:

  • Advanced proficiency in SAS/SQL: Strong experience with data manipulation and query development.
  • Experience working in complex data environments: Ability to navigate and work within large-scale, intricate data infrastructures.
  • Strong attention to detail: Precision is crucial to ensure flawless campaign delivery, especially under strict timelines and regulatory requirements.

  • Financial Services experience: Understanding the regulatory environment and specific challenges within the financial industry.
  • Project management skills: Experience in managing projects or campaigns, balancing multiple priorities, and delivering on time.
  • Experience with data visualization or reporting tools: Familiarity with tools like Tableau, Power BI, or similar for presenting data insights to stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of data privacy regulations: Awareness of GDPR and other data protection laws that impact customer communications.
  • Experience in a customer segmentation role: Understanding customer behaviours and segmentation to deliver personalized, targeted communications.
  • Experience with campaign selection: Prior knowledge or experience in managing customer targeting for marketing, regulatory, or operational campaigns.

This role is based in Northampton, with a hybrid working model of working a minimum of 2 days per week in the office.

Purpose of the Role

To enable data-driven strategic and operational decision making through extracting actionable insights from large datasets, performing statistical and advanced analytics to uncover trends and patterns, and presenting findings through clear visualisations and reports.

Accountabilities

  • Investigation and analysis of data issues related to quality, lineage, controls, and authoritative source identification, documenting data sources, methodologies, and quality findings with recommendations for improvement.
  • Designing and building data pipelines to automate data movement and processing.
  • Apply advanced analytical techniques to large datasets to uncover trends and correlations, develop validated logical data models, and translate insights into actionable business recommendations that drive operational and process improvements, leveraging machine learning/AI.
  • Through data-driven analysis, translate analytical findings into actionable business recommendations, identifying opportunities for operational and process improvements.
  • Design and create interactive dashboards and visual reports using applicable tools and automate reporting processes for regular and ad-hoc stakeholder needs.
