Store Nightshift Manager

Key Responsibilities

Leading a overnight team to deliver replenishment activities, including:
- Prioritizing deliveries
- Organizing warehouse operations
- Replenishing shelves

Operating as the ** sole manager overnight**, accountable for the full store shift, including:
- Ensuring safety and wellbeing of colleagues in store
- Maintaining operational continuity alone when senior management isn’t present

Guaranteeing excellent standards before morning operations begin, preparing the store to serve customers effectively

Managing people and performance, with responsibilities including:
- Conducting performance and disciplinary reviews
- Ensuring scheduling and pay accuracy

Work pattern:
- Full-time hours over 4 nights per week
- Night shifts run from 22:00 to 08:00

✅ Experience in line management within a fast-paced, high-operational retail setting ✅ Resilience capable of handling mental and physical nightshift demands ✅ A commitment to delivering exceptional customer service—ness they actively instigate and coach within their team ✅ Proven ability to deliver and monitor KPIs or other performance indicators ✅ Capacity to manage disciplinaries and employee relations, such as performance or absence issues ✅ Self-motivated operational leader who maintains control and responsibility during lone decision-making ✅ A deep-rooted value for inclusivity, ensuring every team member feels valued

Essential Criteria
A strong track record in:
- Delivering outstanding customer service, while empowering team members to match that standard
- Leading a high-performing team within a customer-facing, fast-paced environment, including:
- Motivating associates
- Handling performance accountability
- Maintaining smooth operations
- Demonstrating operational leadership when senior managers are absent
- Exceeding resetemployee= ?performance metrics—whether in sales, availability, customer satisfaction or employee engagement
- Managing employee relations, including:
- Dealing with absence management and performance issues
Desirable (but not essential):
- Previous experience working overnight shifts in a high-volume, demanding operation, evidenced by:
- Adapting well to the physical challenges of 24-hour trading
- Creating a supportive atmosphere for colleagues during out-of-hours work
