Responsibilities
Key Duties Include:
- Plan and orchestrate the delivery of an online picking and delivery team to ensure the success of the in-store online service.
- Be a visible leader, engaging and coaching a large team of shoppers and drivers to deliver a seamless and safe shopping experience for online and in-store customers.
- Collaborate with other managers to ensure an overall superior shopping experience in the store.
- People management responsibilities, including:
- Managing performance and capability.
- Conducting disciplinaries (if required).
- Ensuring accurate scheduling and pay.
- Manage online teams working early mornings (typically 04:00–08:00) to pick and prepare items for deliveries.

Requirements
Great Online Manager Qualities:
Previous experience in:
- Line management responsibilities in a fast-paced, operational environment.
- Providing brilliant customer service and coaching teams to do the same.
- KPI/performance indicator delivery.
- Managing employee relations issues—disciplinaries, performance issues, etc.
- Operational leadership—comfortable leading alone in senior management’s absence.
Essential Criteria:
- A track record of delivering brilliant customer service and coaching colleagues.
- Experience in leading teams in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment, including motivation, performance, and operational success.
- Demonstrated operational leadership—taking responsibility for store operations without senior oversight.
- Measurable success in meeting or exceeding KPIs (e.g., sales, availability, customer satisfaction, colleague engagement).
- Managed employee relations issues, including performance and absence management.
