Online Retail Team Manager

What you’ll be doing
- Plan and orchestrate the delivery of an online picking and delivery team to ensure success of the in-store online service.
- Act as a visible leader, engaging and coaching a large team of shoppers and drivers to deliver a seamless and safe shopping experience for both online and in-store customers.
- Collaborate with other managers to ensure the overall store shopping experience thrives.
- Manage people effectively:
- Oversee performance and capability.
- Conduct disciplinaries as needed.
- Ensure scheduling and pay accuracy.
The online teams operate early mornings (04:00–08:00) for picking and delivery services.
What makes a great online manager
- Previous line management experience in a fast-paced, operational environment.
- Excellent customer service—and the ability to coach teams to deliver the same.
- Meets KPIs or other performance indicators consistently.
- Can handle disciplinaries, performance issues, or employee relations with dignity and competence.
- Leads operations with confidence and the ability to act decisively when senior management is absent.

Essential Criteria
- Proven experience in delivering brilliant customer service and coaching colleagues to excel.
- Demonstrated ability to lead a team within a fast-paced, customer-facing environment, driving performance, engagement and operational smoothness.
- Operational leadership skills, including the capacity to take full responsibility for store operations when senior roles are unavailable.
- Measurable success in meeting or exceeding KPIs, such as:
- Sales growth
- Product availability
- Customer satisfaction scores
- Colleague engagement metrics
- Experience in managing employee relations issues, including performance, absence, and disciplinary matters.
