Customer and Trading Manager - Online
Online Picking & Delivery Team Manager
About the Role
- Plan and orchestrate the delivery of an online picking and delivery team to ensure the success of the in-store online service
- Act as a visible leader, engaging and coaching a large team of shoppers and drivers to deliver a seamless and safe shopping experience for both online and in-store customers
- Collaborate with other managers to ensure a cohesive and high-performing shopping experience across the store
- Play a crucial role in people management, including:
- Managing performance and capability
- Conducting disciplinaries
- Ensuring accurate scheduling and pay

What Makes a Great Online Manager
- Previous experience in line management within a fast-paced, operational environment
- Exceptional customer service mindset, capable of coaching a team to provide the same high standards
- Ability to deliver KPIs or other performance metrics successfully
- Comfort managing disciplinaries, performance issues, or employee relations challenges
- Strong operational leadership, including taking full responsibility for store operations when senior management is absent
Essential Criteria
- Proven track record of delivering brilliant customer service and effectively coaching colleagues
- Experience leading a team in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment, demonstrating ability to:
- Motivate staff
- Drive performance
- Keep operations running smoothly
- Showcase operational leadership by taking responsibility for store operations in the absence of senior managers
- Demonstrated success in meeting or exceeding KPIs, including metrics related to:
- Sales
- Availability
- Customer satisfaction
- Colleague engagement
- Managed employee relations issues, including performance and absence management
