What you’ll be doing
- Working closely with a small team of managers to ensure the store runs smoothly every day.
- Taking responsibility for the day-to-day running of the store, often being the only manager on site with full accountability.
- Supporting a team in completing all tasks while ensuring customers are served efficiently and safely.
- Managing people, including performance, capability, disciplinaries, scheduling, and payroll accuracy.
- Assisting neighbouring stores when needed, especially in close-knit networks.
What makes a great Customer & Trading Manager
- Previous experience in line management within a fast-paced, operational environment.
- Delivery of excellent customer service and the ability to coach a team to provide the same.
- Strong performance in meeting KPIs and key performance indicators.
- Experience in handling disciplinaries, performance issues, and employee relations matters.
- Ability to lead operations independently when senior management is absent.

Essential Criteria
✅ A proven track record of delivering brilliant customer service and coaching others to do the same.
✅ Team leadership experience in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment, with skills in motivation, performance, and operational efficiency.
✅ Operational leadership—the ability to take full responsibility for store operations without constant supervision.
✅ Success in exceeding KPIs, whether in sales, product availability, customer satisfaction, or colleague engagement.
✅ Experience in managing employee relations issues, including disciplinary, performance, and absence management.
