Customer Assistant

Customer Assistant – Lidl (20-Hour Contract)

£13.45 – £14.45 per hour | All shifts | 30-35 days’ holiday (pro rata) | 10% in-store discount | Pension scheme

About the Role

As a Lidl Customer Assistant, variety is the name of the game. Your days won’t be repetitive—expect a mix of restocking shelves, assisting customers, and keeping the store running smoothly. Pride yourself on maintaining a clean, tidy, and organised shop, while delivering exceptional service to every visitor. Your positive attitude will strengthen team relationships and boost customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a Lidl expert, answering customer questions and resolving queries.
  • Efficiently handle deliveries as they arrive in-store.
  • Provide passionate, excellent customer service.
  • Proactively manage bakery stock by baking fresh goods when required.
  • Merchandise and maintain middle-aisle Non-Food products to ProPak standards.

Requirements

  • Experience working in a fast-paced retail environment.
  • Outstanding customer service skills.
  • Flexibility to adjust shift timings (early starts, late finishes).
  • A positive attitude and adaptability to changing priorities.
  • Drive, determination, and passion to make your store a success.
  • A polished smile and a welcoming demeanour to inspire your team and customers.
