Customer Assistant
Customer Assistant (30-hour contract) – Lidl
£13.45 per hour | Various shifts | 30-35 days’ holiday (pro rata) | 10% in-store discount | Pension scheme

As a Customer Assistant, your role is varied and dynamic. You’ll:
- Restock shelves
- Operate tills
- Keep the store clean, tidy, and well-organised
- Provide top-notch service to every customer
You’ll train, grow, and earn, with opportunities to specialise—whether as a Freshness, Non-Food, or Bakery Specialist.
What You’ll Do
- Advising customers – Be the go-to expert for shoppers’ questions.
- Handling deliveries – Efficiently manage orders as they arrive.
- Empowering customer service – Deliver exceptional support every shift.
- Fresh bakery duties – Proactively replenish and bake fresh goods.
- Merchandising Non-Food products – Maintain and optimise middle-aisle displays.

What You’ll Need
- Experience in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent customer service skills and manner.
- Flexibility to start shifts early or finish late as needed.
- An adaptable attitude to changing priorities.
- Passion and drive to excel in retail.
What You’ll Receive
- Competitive pay:
- Base rate: £13.45 per hour
- £2.00 extra per hour for bank holidays
- £3.50 extra per hour for night shifts
