Customer Assistant – Lidl

The Role
You’ll work across various shifts, tasks, and teams, ensuring a smooth and engaging retail experience.
Important Note:
- As a Customer Assistant, you will be required to sell alcohol, which means you must be 18 or over.
- For this specific location, availability for early morning shifts is mandatory.
Shift Patterns

Morning Shift (5am or 6am start) Working alongside your team to stock award-winning products and prepare bakery items for customers to enjoy by opening time.

Middle Shift (mid-morning to early afternoon) Ensuring the store is spotlessly clean, products remain fresh, and customers receive assistance with queries and till operations to reduce queues.

Late Shift (afternoon start) Serving customers with a smile, restocking missing items, and preparing the store for the following day.
Responsibilities
- Interacting with Customers: Provide pleasant, friendly, and helpful service at all times.
- Stock Management: Follow stock loss control procedures across the store.
- Maintenance: Ensure store hygiene and cleanliness both inside and externally.
- Freshness & Rotation: Adhere to product freshness guidelines and proper rotation policies.
- Waste Management: Handle waste correctly and efficiently.
- Stock Count Support: Assist during the stock count process as required.

Requirements
You’ll need a positive attitude and the following qualities and skills:
- Customer service competency and willingness to go the extra mile.
- Reliability and responsibility—being accountable for your tasks.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, varied working environment.
- Strong teamwork ethic—a collective effort ensures success.
- Prior experience in a customer-facing role is helpful but not essential if you demonstrate the right mindset.
Please note: For this role, early morning shift availability is mandatory.

Salary Progression (Per Hour)
- Year 1:
- Basic: €15.40
- Unsocial hours (12am – 7am): €19.25
- Overtime/Sundays: €23.10
- Bank Holidays: €30.80
