Customer Assistant – Fashion, Home & Beauty

About the Role

Join Marks & Spencer as a Customer Assistant in our Fashion, Home & Beauty department. You’ll play a critical frontline role delivering style advice and five-star customer service, helping shape the future of M&S through sales growth, digital engagement, and seamless retail operations.

This role is for fast-talking, fashion-forward individuals who thrive in a high-energy environment, love working hard, and want to champion M&S’s customer-centric transformation.

Work Pattern

  • Sunday: 06:00–10:00
  • Tuesday: 18:00–22:00
  • Saturday: 06:00–10:00

What You’ll Do

  • Drive sales and grow M&S’s market share through customer referrals, trend-driven discussions, and product recommendations.
  • Sell our latest fashion and beauty items, helping customers discover trend-setting pieces and elevate their style.
  • Provide personalised assistance to meet high demands—whether answering queries, navigating digital tools, or handling fast-paced traffic.
  • Utilise digital platforms (including the Sparks App) and stock devices to enhance the customer experience and support M&S’s evolving retail model.
  • Maintain high standards of efficiency—keep accuracy and productivity intact under pressure, balancing speed and polish.
  • Collaborate across teams, fostering a positive, purpose-driven atmosphere where colleagues support each other.
  • Embrace flexibility—adapt quickly, assist where needed, and meet challenges head-on.
