Work Pattern
Hours are as follows:
- Sunday: 14:00 – 20:00
- Monday: 13:00 – 21:00
- Thursday: 13:00 – 21:00
- Saturday: 14:00 – 21:00
(Note: These are indicative; rota availability may apply.)
About the Role
Join Marks & Spencer (M&S) as a Customer Assistant in the Food section, where you’ll be at the forefront of the UK’s fastest-growing retailer. Responsibilities
Key Duties
- Exceptional Customer Service: Serve customers with speed, confidence, and warmth–making them feel valued from the moment they enter the store.
- Driving Sales: Ambassadise M&S Food products, recommend new offerings, and boost sales through proactive engagement.
- Retail Operations: Assist with stocking, shelf-ending, and maintaining cleanliness, ensuring the store operates efficiently.
- Digital Tools: Utilise our digital systems (Sparks and in-store devices) to streamline the shopping experience and assist customers in real-time.
- Adaptability: Work across multiple areas of the store, reacting to shifts in demand—lingering in busy zones, take turns, or support checkout.

Requirements
Essential
- Enthusiasm & Resilience: A can-do attitude, thriving in a fast-paced, demanding role.

- Teamwork: Willing to contribute to a collaborative, energetic team environment.
- Adaptability: Open to working across different departments and operations modes.

Preferred
- Experience in food retail, hospitality, or customer-facing roles—though we welcome new talent!
- Interest in food trends and the M&S brand proposition.
