About the Role
Join Marks & Spencer as a Customer Assistant in our Food section, where you’ll be at the frontline of the UK’s fastest-growing retailer. We’re looking for down-to-earth colleagues who thrive under pressure and deliver five-star service while embracing the transformation driving innovation at M&S.
You’ll be a resilient and committed brand ambassador, confidently recommending and selling our newest products while ensuring every customer feels valued. This role is for those who go above and beyond in a high-pressure environment, staying sharp, fast, and focused during peak times.
Locations & Working Pattern
Your shifts will vary, ensuring a dynamic and adaptable approach is essential:
Week 1
- Sunday: 05:45 – 11:45
- Tuesday: 03:45 – 10:00
- Saturday: 10:00 – 15:00

- Wednesday: 03:45 – 10:00
- Thursday: 10:00 – 15:00
- Saturday: 06:45 – 10:00
Key Responsibilities
- Sell and recommend M&S Food products with expertise and enthusiasm.
- Provide five-star customer service, ensuring every customer feels valued.
- Fill shelves, leading inventory management to meet strong demand.
- Utilise digital tools, including the Sparks App and in-store devices, to enhance the customer experience.
- Contribute to a high-energy team environment, supporting colleagues and driving seamless customer experiences.
- Adapt flexibly across the store, catering to varying operational demands.
