Customer Assistant (€460+ per week) – Lidl

High-energy customer-focused role | 30-hour workload | Dynamic shifts

About the Role

At Lidl, we’re obsessed with delivering a fantastic customer experience—from our Head Office to the shop floor. If you’re customer-focused, love learning daily, and thrive in a fast-paced environment, we’d love to welcome you to our team.

Normally, you’d sell alcohol, so candidates must be 18+ to meet legal requirements.

Shift Patterns

Lidl runs three shift types across varied duties and team colleagues:

  • Morning Shift (5am/6am)

    • Stock our award-winning products
    • Prepare delicious bakery items ready for customers
    • Goal: Set the store up for a "Go Full Lidl!" day
  • Middle Shift (mid-morning/early afternoon)

    • Keep stores spotless and fresh
    • Assist customers with queries on the shop floor
    • Process purchases via tills to minimise wait times
  • Late Shift (afternoon into early evening)

    • Serve customers with smiles and efficiency
    • Restock missing items
    • Prepare the store for the next day’s operations

(Remember—no two days in retail are exactly alike!)

Your Responsibilities as a Customer Assistant

As a key member of our team, you’ll be responsible for:

Customer Interaction & Service

  • Provide friendly, helpful, and professional support to all shoppers

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
