Customer Assistant - High Street, Belfast

Customer Assistant | Lidl

About the Role

From our Head Office to the shop floor and everywhere in between, our primary goal is to create and deliver a fantastic customer journey for everyone who shops at Lidl.

Earn £13.30 per hour (+ rising to £14.80 after 3 years)!

  • Flexible Hours to Fit Your Life! Life is busy, so we offer full-time contracts for 10, 20, 30, or 35 hours per week.
  • On a standard 30-hour contract, you’ll earn £490+ per week* (inclusive of unsocial hours).
  • Weekend work is an option! Let’s tailor a shift pattern that fits your needs.

Note: As a Customer Assistant, you’ll be responsible for selling alcohol, so you must be 18 or over to work in-store.

Shift Patterns

  • Morning Shift – Start at 5am or 6am and:
    • Stock award-winning products on the shop floor.
    • Prepare delicious bakery products for customers.
  • Middle Shift – Start mid-morning or early afternoon and:
    • Ensure the store is spotlessly clean, well-presented, and products remain fresh.
    • Help customers with queries and manage tills to minimise queues.
  • Late Shift – Start in the afternoon and:
    • Deliver a top-class customer experience through friendly service behind the tills.
    • Restock missing items and prepare the store for the next day.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
