About the Role
As a Customer Assistant, you’ll work within a retail team to:
- Unpack deliveries efficiently during night shifts, ensuring products are accurately placed and ready for the next day.
- Secure access areas for delivery drivers, keeping pathways safe and unobstructed.
- Maintain exceptional cleanliness across the entire store—floor, shelves, and backroom—to exceed customer expectations.
- Support promotions and special offers, organising displays and stocking specific sections.
- Conduct independent checks for stock freshness and rotation, contributing to our hygiene standards.

Competitive Pay & Benefits
Base salary: £13.45 - £14.45 per hour
Bonus payments:
- Bank holidays: +£2.00 per hour
- Night shifts: +£3.50 per hour

Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
- Unpack, organise, and restock products accurately and efficiently across all store areas, including fridges, shelves, and displays.
- Ensure stock rotations and freshness checks are performed to maintain hygiene and product quality.
- Work independently to meet changing priorities without supervision, always acting in the best interest of the store.
- Participate in store plannings, including promotions, seasonal restocking, or special events.
- Report any issues immediately, whether it’s broken equipment, product irregularities, or maintenance needs.
Requirements
Ideal candidates will have:
- Experience in fast-paced environments, where multitasking and precision are a priority.
- A keen eye for detail, ensuring that even under time pressures, quality standards are maintained.
- Ability to stay positive and adaptable, thriving in dynamic retail schedules.
- Self-motivation and reliability, committed to delivering a consistently high standard of service.
- Ideally, prior experience working night shifts, though this is not essential for new applicants.
- A commitment to customer service—you’ll directly influence how customers perceive our store.
