Join our team at M&S as a Customer Assistant in Operations, you’ll be the backstage powerhouse of our stores. It’s a physically demanding, high-intensity role that keeps our stores running like clockwork.
About the Role
You’ll be responsible for stock, deliveries, and all the vital behind-the-scenes work ensuring our shop floor stays full, clean, and ready for our customers to shop. There’s no room for delay—you’ll be fast, focused, and always one step ahead.

Working Pattern
Week 1
- Monday: 17:00 – 23:00
- Tuesday: 17:00 – 23:00
- Thursday: 17:00 – 23:00
- Saturday: 17:00 – 23:00
Week 2
- Sunday: 14:00 – 20:00
- Tuesday: 17:00 – 23:00
- Thursday: 17:00 – 23:00
- Friday: 17:00 – 23:00
Important Notes
- Under 18s disclaimer: This role involves operating mechanical equipment, and under 18s cannot apply due to health and safety legislation.
- + £3.00 p/h unsocial premium: Only applied for hours worked outside 22:00–06:00.
- Flexibility is everything – shift outside delivery times and allow for last-minute adaptations to support store operations.
