Customer Assistant - Scanning
Scanning Team Member – Join Our Friendly & Focused Team!
Using in-store technology, you’ll play a vital role in keeping our shelves stocked and systems updated by carrying out tasks like stock counts and gap scans. This detailed but fulfilling work directly enhances our customers’ shopping experience – and you’ll get the chance to support other teams, too.

The Job
Primary Responsibilities:
- Perform stock counts, gap scans, and on-shelf availability activities using in-store tech and processes to ensure shelves reflect real-time inventory.
- Correct discrepancies promptly, reshelving and reattending appropriately.
- Use scanning equipment safely according to store procedures – no prior technical training required; this will be provided on the job.
- Rotate between scanning and support tasks (e.g., Market Street restockingorbargain-area maintenance; replenishment matching).
- Advise customers on product availability, shortages, or upcoming promotions – helpful en route too.
- Complete daily/weekly reports in line with operational standards.
- Follow team briefings or manager instructions around inventory drives or seasonal specials.
Who You Are: You won’t need experience – just enthusiasm! Key traits we value include:
- Helpful and friendly approach – it’s important for resolving customer issues and teamwork.
- Enjoys movement/active tasks – you’ll spend time walking, stock-checking, and manual actions or bringing materials to counters.
- Thrive in fast-paced environments – some days will be busier than others; adaptability matters.
- Physical fitness to use scanning equipment without assistance.
- Computer literacy for digital logins (e.g. MyMorrigans POS or inventory software).
