Customer Assistant (Specialist) Counters

Rate: £12.80

Location: Park Hill Rd, Garstang, Preston PR3 1EF

Hours: 6 - 30 hours per week

Contract Type: Permanent

Closing date: 10/07/2026

Please Note: You must be over the age of 18 to apply for this position

Working pattern

This is a part time position with contracts of between 6 to 30 hours per week.

  • Working a weekend day every week is required
  • Working a minimum of 1 late night (18:00pm) per week is required

As part of your contract, we ask for availability that is, as a minimum, one and a half times your weekly hours. For example, if you were on a 10-hour contract, we would ask for 15 hours of availability. This doesn’t mean you will work 15 hours (unless there is overtime available, and this may be offered to you) but your shifts may be placed anywhere within the availability you provide. This helps us build fair, consistent rotas, and ensures we can meet customer demand across the week. With this role being in Retail, you must also be available to work one late night and one weekend day per week.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
