Customer Account Manager (Travel Money)
Work Pattern
- Sunday: 12:30–18:00
- Friday: 14:00–22:00
- Saturday: 13:00–21:00
About the Role
You’ll need to understand how Marks & Spencer (M&S) operates, from its strategy to how you fit into its future. Every day, you’ll be working fast and efficiently with a commitment to delivering excellence. No task is too small—you’ll set clear performance objectives to drive yourself forward while working closely with senior leadership.

- Understands M&S’s operations, strategy, and the role you play in its success
- Delivers high-quality work quickly, with meticulous attention to detail
- Acts on feedback—both giving and receiving—actively seeking it to improve performance
- Sets performance objectives aligned with business plans and career progression, reviewed with managers
- Takes ownership of planning and managing your workload to ensure targets are met on time
- Questions norms—constantly challenges why things are done a particular way and suggests improvements
- Communicates effectively, ensuring messages are clear and easy to understand
- Manages reactions constructively—approaches discussions with tact and purpose
- Handles change confidently, bouncing back quickly from challenges
- Builds strong relationships by being an active listener, getting to know colleagues on a personal level

Technical Skills & Experience
- Drives store profitability, ensuring operational efficiency and minimising loss
- Ensures accuracy—getting things right first time while working to tight deadlines
- Comprehensive knowledge of M&S Travel Money programmes and processes
- Deep product expertise, including other M&S services (e.g., banking, digital payments)
- Intimate understanding of commercial operations and core M&S principles
- Strong digital capability, proficient in using digital tools, transitioning processes digitised and optimising workflows
- Customer-centric mindset: spots upselling opportunities to delight and provide enhanced service
- Fast learner, adaptable to rapid change and new systems
