What is a typical day like? (No day is ever ‘normal’ in retail, but here’s what to expect!)
As you’ll be handling alcohol sales, you must be 18 or over to work in our store.
Shift Patterns:

Morning shift (5am or 6am): Stock our award-winning products and prepare our bakery for opening—ensuring customers can Go Full Lidl as soon as we open.

Midday/Afternoon shift: Maintain cleanliness and product freshness, assist customers, and staff the tills to keep queues short.

Late shift (afternoon onwards): Elevate the customer experience by serving with a smile, restocking items, and preparing the store for the next day.
Job Responsibilities
- Interacting with every customer in a warm, friendly, and helpful way, ensuring they leave satisfied
- Ensuring stock loss controls are followed consistently across all store areas
- Upholding store hygiene and tidiness, both inside and outside
- Applying freshness and stock rotation principles
- Properly managing waste, adhering to company standards
- Assisting with various stock count processes

- Hourly pay you can earn:
Starts at €15.40 per hour, rising to €17.90 after three years:
- Unsocial hours (12am to 7am): increased rates depending on seniority.
- Overtime & Sunday/special days penalties outlined below.
Hourly Wage Breakdown:
Year 1:
- Basic rate: €15.40
- Unsocial hours: €19.25
- Overtime/Sundays: €23.10
- Bank holidays: €30.80
