Customer Business Manager – Full Time (Level C)
Derby / Hybrid (3 days on-site)

We are recruiting for an exciting and unique opportunity within the Civil Aerospace Customer and Business Development team as a Customer Business Manager. This is a fantastic role for an enthusiastic, business-focused individual to join our high-performing team.
As a key interface representing the Customer business across the enterprise:
- You will proactively support the leadership team as well as work directly with the Civil Aerospace Chief Customer Officer.
- The globally based team leads engagement with airline and aircraft manufacturer customers.
- Responsibilities span Sales, Marketing, Commercial, Account Management, and future services strategy.
This role is ideal for someone passionate about strategic business development, strong communication, and a desire to grow within a dynamic organisation.
Responsibilities
Key Duties Include:
- Work closely with the Chief Customer Officer on priorities, including:
- Improvement activities
- Business communications
- Team engagement
- Crisis resolution and key issue management
- Manage business priorities in conjunction with leadership, tracking KPIs and performance metrics.
- Drive commercial excellence initiatives to increase business growth and profitability.
- Simplify complex narratives for senior leadership, ensuring alignment and informed decision-making.
- Coordinate with Civil Aerospace and Group Divisions on customer-facing commercial strategies.
- Lead Leadership Team governance and meetings for Strategy, Performance, and Change topics.
- Act as the "eyes and ears" for the Chief Customer Officer in both teams.

Requirements
Who Are We Looking For?
- A customer-centric, interpersonal-savvy professional with strong stakeholder relationship management.
- Keen to learn and contribute within the Customer and Business Development space, despite requiring no prior customer experience. -Experience leading initiatives in ambiguous, fast-paced environments—capable of creating clarity amid ambiguity.
- Exceptional oral and written communication with presentation and influencing skills at multiple leadership levels.
- Team player and project leader with storyboarding and commercial acumen.

Hybrid Experience Note: Hybrid working (3 days on-site minimum) is locally managed and flexible, with collaboration as the key on-site driver.
Grade: Level C (We encourage applications from candidates with relevant experience across levels.)
