Customer Business Planner
About the Role
At L'Oréal, the Customer Business Planner is a hybrid role bridging commercial and supply chain, responsible for:
- Developing accurate customer forecasts
- Driving collaborative discussions (internal and external)
- Challenging and strategising business plans
- Representing the customer’s voice within the organisation
A Day in the Life
As a Customer Business Planner, you are at the heart of L'Oréal’s commercial operations, managing forecasting and sharing critical insights across stakeholders. Typical responsibilities include:
- Kicking off the day: Analysing key sales trends with National Account Managers (NAMs)
- Midday engagement: Leading strategic forecast reviews with retailers, aligning promotional plans and collaborative forecasts for future months
- Cross-functional collaboration: Sharing retailer insights, product performance data, NPD updates, and promotional trends with supply chain and marketing teams
- End-of-day strategy: Presenting forecast insights to finance and senior commercial leaders, influencing the division’s revenue predictions for senior management

Who You Are
To excel as a Customer Business Planner, you should have:
- A strong foundation in sales forecasting principles and business trends
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Collaboration expertise to engage with cross-functional brand and supply chain teams
- High organisational abilities, with the ability to prioritise and manage tight deadlines
- Resilience, remaining calm and decisive under pressure
- A customer-first mindset
- Preferred skills: Proficiency in Excel, PowerBI, or forecasting tools
