About the Role

The Customer Service & Order Processing Administrator will ensure:

  • 100% customer satisfaction through meticulous and dependable service delivery
  • All logistics requirements are fulfilled accurately, on time, and in full
  • Compliance with company policies, corporate standards, and legislative requirements

This role is pivotal in maintaining operational excellence and upholding Manthorpe’s reputation as a trustworthy and efficient partner in the industry.


Key Responsibilities

📞 Customer Service & Order Processing

  • Handle customer enquiries via telephone and email, delivering professional and timely responses
  • Process sales orders within agreed business KPI targets, ensuring accuracy and completeness
  • Obtain all required order information, liaising with customers when details are incomplete or unclear
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer records in the CRM system

🤝 Customer Relationship Management

  • Build and manage positive customer relationships
  • Investigate and resolve complaints and queries promptly and professionally
  • Identify opportunities for upselling additional products and services
  • Recognise customers requiring sales team visits by providing relevant details for follow-up

📊 Sales Support & Administration

  • Provide CRM, administrative, and ad-hoc support to the external sales team
  • Collaborate with internal departments (Technical, Commercial, Finance, & Operations) to maintain seamless customer service operations

💰 Financial Administration

  • Investigate customer invoice queries
  • Process credit notes where appropriate, ensuring financial accuracy and compliance

⏱️ Performance & Continuous Improvement

  • Demonstrate excellent time management and attendance to meet business requirements
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, including:
    • Reducing waste
    • Enhancing efficiency and safety
    • Increasing employee engagement

⚖️ Compliance

  • Fully adhere to company policies and statutory requirements, including:
    • Quality, Health & Safety standards
    • Environmental procedures
    • Other business-specific protocols

About You

To succeed in this Customer Service & Order Processing Administrator role, you must have:

  • Previous experience in commercial administration, customer service, or sales support
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to engage customers and colleagues at all organisational levels
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the capacity to build and sustain positive working relationships
  • Independent working skills, coupled with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines efficiently
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including:
    • Excel (advanced preferred)
    • Outlook & Word
  • Unwavering attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in processing and maintaining up-to-date records
  • A customer-focused mindset with proficiency in escalation, mediation, and problem-solving
  • Analytical, critical-thinking, and proactive attitude, demonstrating wiliness to learn and grow
  • Cross-departmental collaboration skills, contributing effectively to business objectives
  • A committed approach to driving sustainability, efficiency, and safe work practices
  • Reliable attendance, impeccable timekeeping and a professional attitude
