Probationary Period
This role is subject to a 3-month probationary period.
During probation, reviews will be carried out weekly for the first four weeks, then monthly thereafter.
Role Overview
We are looking for a Customer Care Operator to support our customs and International operations team at Bullet Express.
The role will involve assisting with customer-related processes, checking documentation, liaising with customers and internal departments, and helping ensure shipments move compliantly and efficiently.
Previous customs experience would be preferred (6 months), particularly around import/export documentation, transit movements, or customs declarations. However, full training will be provided for the right person who has strong attention to detail, good administration skills, and a willingness to learn.

Key Responsibilities
- Review customer paperwork to ensure customs documentation is present and accurate
- Check commercial invoices, packing lists, commodity descriptions, HS codes, country of origin, and consignee/importer details
- Liaise with customers to request missing or corrected documentation.
- Support the preparation and processing of customs-related information for Import export, NI, ROI, and EU movements.

Skills And Experience Essential
- Strong Attention to detail
- Good Administration and organizational skills
- Confident communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work under pressure and manage time-sensitive tasks
- Comfortable working with email, spreadsheets, and internal systems
- Willingness to learn customs processes and follow procedures accurately.
- Ability to work as part of a team and communicate clearly with other departments.
Desireable
- Previous experience in customs, freight forwarding, logistics, transport, or international trade.
- Understanding of Import/export documentation.
- Knowledge of customs terms such as HS codes, EORI numbers, country of origin, MRNs, GMRs, ENS, EADs, or T1 movements.
- Experience dealing with Customers, brokers, hauliers, or customer partners.
- Experience using logistics or freight management systems.

Training
Customer experience would be beneficial, but it is not essential. Training will be provided for the right candidate, including internal procedures, customs documentation, compliance requirements, and systems used by the department.
The successful candidate must be willing to learn and apply customs processes accurately, as the role involves time-sensitive and compliance-critical work.
