The Role

This is a varied and hands-on role that sits across customer care and product quality activity, offering excellent exposure for someone early in their career. The role plays a key part in ensuring products meet the highest standards, while also acting as a point of contact for customers and consumers.

Day to day, the position involves:

  • Managing customer and consumer enquiries through customer service / help desk platforms, ensuring responses are handled in a timely, professional, and empathetic manner.
  • Supporting the complaints process through investigation, traceability, and root cause analysis.
  • Working closely with manufacturing partners and suppliers to drive resolution and continuous improvement.
  • Supporting the technical and product function through maintaining specifications and documentation.
  • Reviewing packaging and artwork for compliance.
  • Assisting with product quality reviews, benchmarking, and sensory evaluation.
  • Contributing to new product development and product change projects.

The Person

This role is ideally suited to a recent graduate or someone in the early stages of their career within food, looking to build strong foundations in technical and product development while utilizing previous experience in customer service / care.

A degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Nutrition, or a related discipline is preferred, along with an understanding of food safety principles such as HACCP. Any experience gained through placements, internships, or early roles within food manufacturing, quality, technical, or customer-facing environments would be advantageous.

The successful candidate will be:

  • Highly organized with excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong communication skills are essential, alongside the confidence to interact with a range of stakeholders including suppliers, manufacturers, and internal teams.
  • Proactive and solutions-focused with the curiosity and enthusiasm to learn quickly and develop within a dynamic business.
  • A genuine passion for food and an interest in product quality and customer care.
