About the Role
At Asda, we believe in putting customers first. As a Customer Delivery Driver in our store team, you’ll be at the heart of delivering an outstanding experience. Whether you’re loading your van, turning deliveries, or assisting with online orders, your role ensures customers receive friendly, reliable service – right to their front door.
When not on the road, your responsibilities extend to van maintenance (no mechanical expertise required – full training provided) and supporting your team during busy periods.
Key Responsibilities
- Delivery excellence: Drive vans safely and efficiently to maintain Asda’s high customer service standards, ensuring on-time, friendly deliveries.
- Team collaboration: Assist with order picking and packing when demand is high.
- Van care: Ensure your vehicle is clean and operational for everyday use (pressurised against vehicles’ good ends).

- Adaptability: Willingness to shift across weekends, evenings, and afternoons – flexibility is key.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
