Customer Delivery Driver

About the Role

Our Customer Delivery Drivers are the friendly faces Tesco sends to customers' doorsteps across the UK. You'll be more than just a delivery person – you'll be a helper, a problem-solver, and a key part of our family.

Availability Window

Your availability requirements for the role are as follows:

Sun From - 09:00:00 To - 18:00:00

Wed From - 19:00:00 To - 23:00:00

Fri From - 09:00:00 To - 19:00:00

Sat From - 09:00:00 To - 19:00:00

Although ideal availability matches closely with these times, flexibility is valued.

  • Starting rate: £14.18/hour (increase to £15.45/hour for stores within the M25).
  • We guarantee a minimum of 16 hours per week, although we can accommodate 12 hours or more if required.

Your shifts will always be scheduled with 3 weeks' notice, and we're happy to consider availability that's close to but not exactly aligning with these windows.

Customers are at the heart of everything we do. With your smile and service, you’ll leave customers with a great delivery experience.

Responsibilities

As our Customer Delivery Driver, duty includes:

  • Keeping van, trays, and back yards clean, tidy, and litter-free
  • Following the tray wash process to ensure cleanliness
  • Loading the van safely and efficiently, with a focus on roadworthiness
  • Handling order communications (changes, substitutions, refunds systematically)
  • Ensuring timely deliveries per customer time slots
  • Proactively calling customers if arriving early and notifying the store if running late by 30+ minutes

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
