What the Role Involves
Customers are at the heart of everything we do. As a Customer Delivery Driver, you will be the face of Tesco on the road, ensuring high-quality customer interactions and service.
- Drive across the UK (Lands’ End to John O’Groats) and meet customers at their homes each day.

- Work mostly autonomously, servicing customers but with full backing of a team to support you.
- Whether you’re looking for flexibility, stability, or career change, we welcome everyone.

You’ll be responsible for:
- Ensuring the van and trays are clean, well-organised, and kept tidy.

- Washing trays as part of routine tasks.
- Loading the van efficiently before deliveries while ensuring traffic safety.
- Communicating with customers about order changes, substitutions, and refunds.
- Treating deliveries as if they were your own, and providing accurate explanations when substituting items (no extra charge for substitutions).
- Delivering during the customer’s designated time slot, calling ahead if arriving early.
- Reporting the store if running more than 30 minutes late.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
