  • Sunday: From 12:30 To 18:00

  • Monday: From 08:00 To 13:00

  • Friday: From 18:00 To 23:00

  • Saturday: From 08:00 To 18:00

About the Role

As the face of Tesco on the road, our Customer Delivery Drivers play a pivotal role, delivering more than just shopping—they provide exceptional service with warmth and reliability.

This role offers hands-on, physical work full of variety, with no two shifts ever the same. You’ll primarily work independently but will have the support of a dedicated team both at base and during deliveries.

With starting pay at £14.18 per hour (rising to £15.45 in stores within the M25), and guarantees of minimum 16 hours per week, some locations may offer additional payments.


Responsibilities

Customers rely on you to deliver their shopping safely and with care. Key duties include:

  • Ensuring your delivery van, trays, and workspace are clean, tidy, and organised to safeguard order quality.
  • Completing van checks on-site to guarantee roadworthiness and reliability.
  • Assisting customers confidently with order adjustments, substitutions, or shortages, offering refunds when needed.
  • Handling deliveries with exceptional care, treating every order as if it were your own.
  • Arriving and departing on time while maintaining friendly doorstep service to enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Building and maintaining effective teammates’ relationships to foster a collaborative environment.
  • Displaying a warm and customer-friendly demeanour at all times.

Requirements

  • Must hold a full or automatic UK/EU/EEA driving licence for at least 12 months, with no more than 3 penalty points.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changing customer needs and store requirements.
