About the Role

Our Customer Delivery Driver position is perfect if you thrive on variety and love the idea of being your own boss each day, while also getting to support customers in meaningful ways.

Availability Window

For this role, you must be available to work during the following times each day:

  • Sunday:
    • 04:00 AM – 10:00 PM
  • Monday:
    • 04:00 AM – 10:00 PM
  • Tuesday:
    • 04:00 AM – 10:00 PM
  • Wednesday:
    • 04:00 AM – 10:00 PM
  • Thursday:
    • 04:00 AM – 10:00 PM
  • Friday:
    • 04:00 AM – 10:00 PM
  • Saturday:
    • 04:00 AM – 10:00 PM

Note: Your contracted hours will be scheduled within these availability windows, and you’ll receive 3 weeks' notice of your exact shifts. We’re flexible, so if your availability is close but not exact, please still get in touch!

Responsibilities

As a Customer Delivery Driver, your core duties include:

  • Delivering a top-notch customer experience by:
    • Ensuring the van and trays are clean, tidy, and organised.
    • Picking up litter and leaving the yard in a spotless state.
    • Washing trays as part of the daily cleanliness process.

  • Safe and reliable driving:

    • Loading the van properly and checking roadworthiness before departures.
  • Handling customer orders effectively:

    • Communicating any changes or substitutions to customer orders (e.g., short-code items).
    • Delivering refunds or adjustments for products customers aren’t satisfied with.
  • Treating deliveries with care:

    • Typically being self-sufficient on your route, but knowing your team is one call away if needed.
  • timely communication:

    • Calling customers when arriving early (e.g., outside of their designated slot).
    • Notifying the store/centre directly if running 30 minutes or more late.

Requirements

To excel in this role, you should have:

  • Enthusiasm for customer service:

    • Build strong relationships with colleagues to enhance team spirit in the store.
    • Maintain a warm and welcoming demeanour: give genuine care and a friendly “Thank you”.
  • Agility and adaptability:

    • Respond quickly to changing customer needs and adapt to store changes.
    • Welcome change with energy and drive to exceed expectations.
  • Strong driving skills:

    • A valid UK/EU/EEA driving licence (full or automatic).
    • Hold the licence for at least 12 months and have no more than 3 penalty points.
    • Adhere to Great Britain domestic driving rules.
