As the face of Tesco on the road, our Customer Delivery Drivers meet customers in their homes every day.

This role is about much more than driving—it’s about helping people and delivering great service with a smile. It’s hands-on, physical, and full of variety, with no two shifts the same. You’ll work independently for much of the day, backed by a supportive team of managers and colleagues at base.

Pay & Contract

  • Minimum pay starts at £14.18 per hour (rising to £15.45 in stores within the M25).
  • Some locations offer additional payments.
  • Guaranteed minimum of 16 hours per week, though roles from 12 hours are also available.

Responsibilities

You will need to:

  • Ensure your van, trays, and workspace are always clean, tidy, and organised so customers receive their shopping in perfect condition.
  • Load the van safely and complete all checks to ensure it’s roadworthy, reliable, and ready for service.
  • Communicate with customers regarding order changes, substitutions, or short-dated items, offering reassurance and refunds where necessary.
  • Handle products with care, treating every order like it’s your own to preserve quality and trust.
  • Deliver orders within customer time slots, offering warm, natural service at the doorstep and making each customer feel valued.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
