Customer Delivery Driver - Sheffield Abbeydale Superstore

Customer Delivery Driver – Tesco

About the Role

Our Customer Delivery Driver role is all about connecting with customers while ensuring their shopping deliveries are delivered with care and professionalism. This is hands-on, physical work with no two shifts alike.

You’ll handle deliveries across the UK—from Lands’ End to John o’Groats—providing friendly service while ensuring tidiness and efficiency in your daily tasks.

Availability Window

We require availability within the following shifts:

  • Sunday: 7:00 PM – 11:00 PM
  • Wednesday: 7:00 PM – 11:00 PM
  • Friday: 1:00 PM – 11:00 PM
  • Saturday: 6:00 PM – 10:00 PM

Long-term fixed-shift contracts are available. You will have 3 weeks’ notice before your shifts are designated. If your availability closely aligns—even if not exact—we’d still love to hear from you.

Terms & Pay Structure

  • Wage: Starts at £14.18/hour (£15.45/hour in M25 stores). Optional additional pay at varying rates may apply depending on location.
  • Minimum guaranteed hours: 16 hours weekly (flexible options down to 12 hours available).

Responsibilities

We’ll rely on your commitment to these duties:

  • Ensuring a beautiful finish:
    • Clean and organise your van and trays daily.
    • Leave (and pick up litter from) the yard completely clear and uncluttered.
    • Maintain trays clean as part of the tray-washing process.
  • Preparing for deliveries:
    • Load and check your van for roadworthiness.
    • Manage customer-specific exceptions like order changes (updates, substitutions, refunds).
    • Deliver products with care, treating them as if they were your own.
  • Customer-first service:
    • Call the customer before arrival if coming early to their timeslot.
    • Notify the store before arriving 30+ minutes late.
    • Adapt quickly to unique customer needs with patience and professionalism.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
