Customer Delivery Driver – Waitrose

About the Role

As one of our Customer Delivery Drivers, you’ll bring the unique blend of quality Waitrose produce and Partner-led service directly to our customers’ doors. Embracing our ethos: “passionate Partners serving food lovers”.

When not on the road, you’ll return to the shop, supporting the team with essential tasks like:

  • Stock replenishment
  • Housekeeping
  • Contributing to the efficient and productive running of the shop in a friendly and welcoming team environment.

Minimum age requirement: You must be 18 years or older to apply.

Key Responsibilities

You’ll typically begin each day in-store, responsible for:

  • Checking and planning your delivery routes for the day.
  • Loading and preparing your van for efficient collections and customer deliveries, ensuring orders are grouped correctly.
  • Completing all required vehicle safety checks, ensuring full compliance with road, health, and safety regulations.
  • Acting as a Waitrose brand ambassador on the road: prioritising impeccable customer service to build trust and rapport.
  • Assisting customers directly with their shopping orders and optimising their experience.
  • Supporting the wider shop team with general housekeeping tasks when needed, such as stock checking or minor shop maintenance.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Valid UK manual B-category driving licence (with no more than 6 penalty points).
  • Strong customer service skills ( britiske spelling), with a service-first mindset.
  • Proven time-management abilities and adaptability.
  • Physical capability to handle tasks like lifting crates and moving cages.
  • Comfortable working independently and self-motivated without close oversight.
  • IT literacy to manage delivery scheduling and route planning.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
