Part-Time Delivery Driver – 16 Hours per Week (2 in 6 Days, Including Bank Holidays)

Our drivers are the face of Wiltshire Farm Foods, and their interaction with customers is key to our success.


About the Role

You'll be delivering our high-quality frozen meals across the UK, bringing sunshine to customers’ doors—no matter the weather. This rewarding role involves:

  • Delivering frozen ready meals to our customers, primarily the elderly, their families, and healthcare professionals.
  • Working in our coldstore (-20°C), where you’ll receive protective clothing, warm-up breaks, and hot drinks.
  • Providing exceptional customer service, going above and beyond to ensure a positive experience.
  • Operating within the wider team, maintaining flexibility and improving your skills through cross-departmental support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Delivery execution:

    • Deliver frozen meals on time to customers across the UK.
    • Perform daily pre-shift van inspections.
    • Drive safely, responsibly, and within the law.
  • Order & customer management:

    • Pick orders within the coldstore.
    • Update deliveries via our delivery app.
    • Maintain customer confidentiality at all times.

  • Operational support:

    • Clean and refuel the van as required.
    • Report health and safety issues, stock quality problems, or mechanical flaws.
    • Assist the team when colleagues are absent or on holiday.
  • Customer relationships & growth:

    • Conduct local marketing activities (e.g., leaflet door drops, sheltered housing visits) to attract new customers.
    • Offer friendly, reliable, and professional service at all times.

Requirements

Essential

  • Experience in a customer service-based role.
  • Valid UK Manual Driving Licence held for at least 2 years.
  • Basic computer literacy, including phone app usage.
  • Evidence of work stability.
  • Basic secondary education qualification.

Desirable

  • Experience in multi-drop delivery roles.
  • Background in care-based or warehouse environments.
  • Health & Safety awareness.

Personal Qualities

  • Friendly, approachable, and reliable.
  • Passionate about delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Strong attendance and timekeeping.

Terms & Conditions

  • Hours: 16 hours per week (2 in 6 days, including bank holidays).
  • Pay: £13.45 per hour + bonus scheme.

  • Undergo a Driving Assessment.
  • Provide evidence of a full UK Manual Driving Licence.
  • Pass basic DBS checks (exempt from Rehabilitation of Offenders Act due to customer-facing requirements with vulnerable clients).
