Customer Delivery Driver/Picker
About the Role
This position is a 16-hour-per-week role across any 4 in 6 days, including bank holidays. The role primarily involves:
- Picking frozen food orders in a coldstore (-20°C)
- Occasional delivery driving (as customers' representatives)
Customers will rely on your interactions for service quality from frozen meals for the UK's vulnerable communities (elderly, carers, and healthcare professionals). Demand reliable work ethic, adaptability, and proactive customer service.
You’ll work in a chilly -20°C environment but full protective clothing and hot drink breaks provided.

Responsibilities
- Delivery Mantra:
- Punctual frozen-food deliveries.
- Understand order statuses via company App.
- Customer Care: Go above and beyond – good service is our brand.
- Vehicular duties:
- Pre-shift van inspections.
- Law-abiding, safe driving.
- Refuelling & van cleaning.
- Documenting issues/delays swiftly.
- Team Support:
- "One team" – assist warehouse pickers or office team rotations.
- Step in for likely absence/leave.
- Customer Growth:
- Local marketing: leaflet distribution & sheltered housing visits.

Key Requirements
Essential: ✔ Active work in customer-facing roles. ✔ Full UK manual driving licence (minimum 2 valid years). ✔ Basic phone app usage/computer skills. ✔ Proven work stability record. ✔ German/English/AUS NSTL Sec2 qualifications.
Desirable: 👍 Multi-drop delivery experience preferred. 👍 Experience with care/healthcare fields a plus. 👍 Basic fulfilment warehouse exposure.
Health & Safety a priority: ⚠ Applicants must facial patterns for manual handling, temperature tolerance, and vulnerable customer safeguarding.
