Customer Delivery Hub, Driver Installer

About the Role

As one of our Installation Specialists based in one of our Customer Delivery Hubs, you’ll have the unique opportunity to bring our distinctive John Lewis service right to our customers’ doors. You’ll install products they love—such as furniture, kitchen appliances, sound systems, and TV sets—as part of a 2-person delivery crew, driving a 7.5-tonne vehicle.

Due to its nature, you need to be 18 years or older to work in this role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prioritise exceptional customer service—be an ambassador for the John Lewis brand.
  • Load up your lorry with the day’s deliveries, working alongside the warehouse team.
  • Show respect and courtesy for the customer’s home while handling unexpected situations calmly to find the best solution.
  • Efficiently and quickly install products and demonstrate how they work once installed.
  • Keep up to date with new products and technologies to perform the role at your best.
  • Maintain a safe working environment.

Note: This role involves heavy lifting—you’ll regularly transport and install large items such as sofas, white goods, sports equipment, furniture, beds, and mattresses.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
