Summary
The Customer Demand Analyst delivers accurate forecasting, strong customer service, and clear communication with customer supply chain teams, ensuring product availability and effective demand management in a food manufacturing environment.
The Role
Provide excellent service for specific frozen retail customers, ensuring timely and accurate order processing while acting as the primary daily point of contact for retailer supply chain teams and internal business managers. You will interpret customer intelligence to create a clear view of short-term sales, support service performance through proactive problem solving, and identify opportunities to improve supply and availability.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Communicate shortages, supply risks, and recovery plans to customers
- Review short-term promotional calendars and adjust forecasts accordingly
- Track and follow up on missed or delayed deliveries with logistics teams
- Manage customer escalations and priority requests professionally and promptly
- Support order management activities, including allocation decisions and service reporting
- Monitor inventory ageing, shelf-life considerations, and stock rotation
- Prepare weekly and monthly reports on service levels, forecast accuracy, 30/60/90 outlooks, and customer KPIs
- Participate in Joint Business Planning meetings

Essential Skills
- Strong Excel capability (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, data analysis)
- Basic SAP knowledge (order management, stock visibility, reporting)
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build strong customer relationships
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and handle escalations calmly and effectively
- Strong analytical mindset with high attention to detail
- Proactive problem-solving approach with the ability to work cross-functionally
Preferred Experience
- Experience in FMCG, food manufacturing, or supply chain roles
- Familiarity with demand planning tools or forecasting systems
- Understanding of VMI processes and customer collaboration models
- Knowledge of shelf-life and stock rotation requirements in food production
