As the nation’s leading pub, cider and beer company and the name behind a host of brilliant brands, we’re looking for equally brilliant people to help us on our journey to building a better future.
There’s so much more to HEINEKEN than meets the eye and right now, we’re looking for a new Customer Development Director to lead our Scotland On-Trade Team!
About the Role
This is a high-impact leadership role where you’ll be responsible for driving strategic volume, margin, and revenue growth across our Direct, Indirect, and Leased & Tenanted channels.
You’ll lead brand distribution, customer prioritisation, and commercial execution across the region, all while building a team culture grounded in performance, development, and collaboration.
In this role, you’ll be at the heart of building strong regional performance through collaboration, coaching, and clear commercial insight. You’ll lead a team of 11 dedicated colleagues across Key Account, Business Development, and Customer Development roles and foster an environment where people can do their best work and grow.
With a strong coaching mindset and commercial focus, you’ll set the regional strategy, embed Revenue Growth Management (RGM) principles, and lead delivery of a detailed business plan aligned to HEINEKEN’s commercial goals. You’ll also collaborate closely with cross-functional partners across RGM, Sales Support, Credit Control, Customer Marketing, and Customer Care.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
