Overview
Location: Swindon, Reading & Surrounding areas (Ideal postcode SN1) Contract: Permanent, Full time – 40 hours per week Salary: £30,000 basic + 20% Bonus

About the Role
In this Customer Development Executive position, you will:
- Grow market share in your allocated territory by driving sales across the Carlsberg Britvic portfolio (beers, ciders, and soft drinks).
- Work closely with Convenience retailers (Symbol & Independent) to maximise brand availability and visibility.
- Develop face-to-face selling techniques and build long-term relationships.
- Collaborate with a Regional Sales Manager to execute a territory business plan focused on sales growth.

Responsibilities
As a key player in this role, you will:
- Partnership building: Foster strong relationships with retail customers to understand their needs and adapt solutions accordingly.
- Full-category selling: Drive growth across all store outlets in alignment with both retailer and Carlsberg Britvic objectives.
- Territory planning: Create and execute a winning business plan to boost sales and market presence.
- Data-driven success: Analyze retailer data to share best practices regionally and team-wide.
- Adaptable growth mindset: Problem-solve creatively to overcome challenges and win over retailers.

About You
We’re looking for a driven, energetic, and results-driven candidate who:
- Thrives as a key sales contact, nurturing new business while maintaining existing relationships.
- Prioritises consumer-centric selling while selling Carlsberg Britvic brands.
- Has strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Previous experience in Direct Sales, FMCG, or Convenience is a plus.
- Demonstrates self-motivation, resilience, and negotiation expertise.
- Is IT and social media literate with excellent administrative and organisational skills.
- Full UK driving licence (max 6 penalty points or no history of bans) required.
- Eligible to work in the UK and able to commute within 60 minutes of the role’s location.
What We Offer
- Competitive starter salary: £30,000, with potential for a 20% quarterly bonus.
- Company vehicle and fuel card included.
