With 6 production plants and 16 logistics depots across the country, Carlsberg Britvic powers sales nationwide.
In this role as Customer Development Executive, you’ll play a key role in growing Carlsberg Britvic’s market share in your assigned territory. You’ll work with a successful team to drive sales of the company’s beers, ciders, and soft drinks, ensuring maximum brand availability and visibility in symbol and independent stores.

The Role
What You’ll Do:
Working closely with a Regional Sales Manager, your job is to present Carlsberg Britvic’s fantastic portfolio of Soft Drinks and Beers by:
- Making face-to-face contact with Convenience (Symbol & Independent) retailers
- Establishing and nurturing new business opportunities
- Delivering a business plan for your territory, focused on maximising sales potential
With the right energy and passion, your success will be supported by comprehensive development:
- Building strong retailer relationships by understanding store and customer needs
- Applying a full category-based selling approach to growing sales in every outlet
- Developing territory-specific business plans and driving growth
- Using data-driven insights to share best practice across stores and the team
- Maintaining a growth mindset and adaptable sales approach
- Developing bespoke strategies to address challenges and secure store loyalty

You should thrive as the "key contact" for customers, driving new business and solving challenges:

Entrepreneurial spirit, with a focus on creating and maintaining sustainable relationships

Customer-first approach – putting the consumer at the heart of the brand

Previous experience in Direct Sales, Convenience, or FMCG would be advantageous but isn’t essential

Commercial acumen, strong negotiation, planning, and organisational skills

Self-motivated, adaptable with social media and IT literacy – ready to capitalise on digital opportunities

A strong work ethic with tenacity to succeed at pace in a fast-paced sales environment

Must:
- Live within a 60-minute commute of Swindon/Reading
- Hold an up-to-date, full UK manual driving licence (no more than 6 points or prior bans)
- Be eligible to work in the UK
What We Offer
- £30,000 starting salary, with the opportunity to earn an extra 20% in quarterly incentives if you hit your targets!
- Company car & fuel card for convenience throughout your territory
- All offers subject to completion of a DVLA licence check
