The Role

As a Customer Development Executive (CDE), you will:

  • Drink creativity and strategic thinking to promote the total Walls portfolio to independent customers.
  • Identify and win high-potential accounts by analysing opportunity gaps.
  • Work with a data-led call plan, shaping a territory strategy with support from your Regional Manager.
  • Be accountable for driving growth through increased distribution, availability, visibility, compliance, and execution.
  • Act as an ambassador for brands like Walls, Magnum, Cornetto, and Ben & Jerry’s, bringing brand awareness and brand experience to life!

Key Responsibilities

Customer Relationships

  • Build long-term relationships with customers, understanding their business needs and local consumers.
  • Influence wholesaler transfer orders through strong advocacy and activation.
  • Support store-level Joint Business Plans (JBPs) within QSR chains.

Territory & Business Growth

  • Create and deliver a winning territory business plan for growth.
  • Analyse and track performance against KPIs, using data and insights to drive decisions.
  • Execute promotions and activations to maximise impact and compliance.

Administrative & Compliance

  • Ensure all reporting, systems, and compliance tasks are completed accurately and on time.
  • Manage CAPEX assets (e.g., Freezers on Loan, premium POS) to meet contractual obligations.

Smart Working Approach

  • Balanced between independent work and team collaboration, using remote work options where suitable.

What You’ll Need

✔ Driven, target-focused, and team player with a passion for bringing brands to life in retail. ✔ Strong commercial acumen—comfortable negotiating, growing territories and building relationships. ✔ Exceptional communication skills to influence stakeholders at all levels. ✔ Experience in FMCG, Direct Sales, Convenience, or Field Sales is advantageous but not essential. ✔ Thrive in a fast-paced environment, with organisational skills, analytical abilities, and resilience. ✔ IT-literate, with MS Office & CRM/data system experience. ✔ Full valid UK driving licence (no more than 6 penalty points or previous convictions). ✔ Eligible to work in the UK and **able to commute from Reddish (M18).
