Customer Development Executive – Britvic
Location Benfleet & surrounding areas
Contract Permanent, full-time – 40 hours per week
Salary £30,000 basic + 20% bonus (potential to exceed)

The Role: Customer Development Executive
As a Customer Development Executive, your role will focus on growth and sales development within your defined territory.
You will be responsible for:
- Increasing Britvic’s market share in the soft drink category
- Driving sales of core and premium brands (Pepsi Max, 7Up, Lipton, Tango, Robinson’s, Rockstar, Carlsberg, 1664, Poretti Beer, and Jimmy’s)
- Maximising brand availability and visibility in convenience and independent stores (C-stores)
Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Relationship Building
- Work closely with a Regional Sales Manager for strategic oversight.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with retailers through face-to-face engagement and tailored solutions to meet their business needs.
- Establish and maintain new retail accounts while ensuring retention of existing ones.
- Focus on crafting and delivering a territory-specific business plan that maximises sales opportunities.

Sales Growth & Execution
- Adopt a full category-based selling approach to grow store accounts for mutual benefit.
- Apply data-driven insights and past retailer successes as benchmarks to drive best practices.
- Meet key performance metrics and promote target-setting culture to inspire colleagues.
- Ensure effective execution excellence in how you manage customer engagements.
Market Representation
- Utilise evidence-based methods to achieve success in your territory, fostering growth and adaptability.
- Promote a growth mindset while providing alternative strategies to overcome store-specific challenges.
About You
This role caters to someone with:
- A go-getter attitude who can bring brands to life and prioritise customer advocacy.
- Relationship-building skills as the primary customer contact for stores.
- Direct Sales, Convenience, or FMCG experience (preferred but not mandatory).
- Strong commercially-minded negotiation and communication abilities.
- Proven attention to detail, organisational skills, and active problem-solving capabilities.
- Team player mentality with demonstrated self-motivation.
- Digital proficiency in IT and social media essential for modern outreach.
- A resilient, goal-driven personality who can deliver at pace.

Qualifications & Essentials
- A valid full UK manual driving licence (with no more than 6 penalty points or previous bans).
- Eligibility to work in the UK and must be accessible within a 60-minute commute from Benfleet.
