Customer Development Executive

Customer Development Executive – McCurrach (on behalf of The Magnum Ice Cream Company)

Overview

Location: Reddish & surrounding areas (Ideal postcode: M18) Type: Permanent, Full-time (40 hours per week) Salary & Benefits:

  • Promote the total Walls portfolio to independent retailers
  • Identify and win high-potential new accounts

What You’ll Do

  • Build strong customer relationships – Understand retailers’ needs and develop tailored solutions.
  • Deliver outstanding in-store execution – Ensure optimal availability, compliance, and visibility through practical activation.
  • Develop a winning territory business plan – Focus on distribution growth, sales, and market share expansion.
  • Leverage data & insights – Track performance, meet KPIs, and embed best practices regionally.
  • Manage CAPEX assets – Oversee Freezers on Loan and premium POS to ensure contractual adherence.
  • Support JBPs (Joint Business Plans) in QSR chains at a store level.
  • Maintain strong administrative standards – Ensure accurate systems reporting, compliance, and timeliness.

About You

✅ Passionate about bringing brands to life – Fun, driven, and thrives in goal-orientated environments.

✅ Commercially focused – Resilient, tenacious, with a strong desire to win and grow. ✅ Strong communication & leadership skills – Confident influencing wholesalers, retailers, and stakeholders.

✅ Desirable (not essential) experience – Previous roles in FMCG, Direct Sales, Convenience, or Field Sales with account/territory development.

✅ Organised & disciplined – Master of administration, planning, and negotiation. ✅ Tech-savvy – Comfortable using MS Office, CRM, or other sales systems, favours data-driven decisions.

✅ Independent but collaborative – Thrives in high-performing teams, adaptable, and self-motivated.

⚠ Essential Requirements:

  • Full UK driving licence (no more than 6 penalty points / no prior bans).
  • Eligibility to work in the UK.
  • Live within commute range of Reddish/M18 area.
