Customer Development Executive

Customer Development Executive – McCurrach on behalf of Carlsberg Britvic

Location

Swindon, Reading & Surrounding Areas (Ideal postcode: SN1) Permanent, Full-Time – 40 hours per week

Salary & Benefits

  • £30,000 basic salary
  • 20% Quarterly Bonus
  • Company vehicle & fuel card
  • Full valid UK manual driving licence (no more than 6 penalty points or previous bans) required

As a Customer Development Executive, you’ll:

  • Drive sales of Carlsberg Britvic’s portfolio in Symbol & Independent stores.
  • Work within a dedicated territory to maximise brand availability and visibility.
  • Grow market share while building strong retailer relationships.

What You’ll Do

Working alongside a Regional Sales Manager, your responsibilities include:

  • Face-to-face engagement with convenience retailers.
  • Establishing and retaining new business opportunities.
  • Developing a territory business plan focused on maximising sales and market share.

Key Wholesale & Retail Growth responsibilities:

  • Build lasting customer relationships by deeply understanding each retailer’s needs.
  • Refine a category-based sales strategy to enhance profitability for both retailers and Carlsberg Britvic.
  • Use data-driven insights to showcase best practices.
  • Adopt a growth mindset with adaptable problem-solving skills.

Essential criteria:

✔ You are a passionate team player with a winners’ mentality. ✔ Experienced in direct sales, FMCG, or convenience retail (beneficial, but not essential). ✔ Comfortable engaging confidently with retailers – think strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. ✔ Self-motivated, commercially intuitive – you don’t just sell; you drive growth. ✔ Proactive & energetic, always seeking new opportunities. ✔ IT and social media literate (you leverage tech in your sales strategy). ✔ A resilient performer who thrives under pressure. ✔ Full UK driving licence (manual-national) with no licence issues. ✔ Willing to live within 60 minutes commute of Swindon/Reading.
