Customer Development Executive - McCurrach on behalf of The Magnum Ice Cream Company

Location

Enfield, Barnet and Waltham Abbey & Surrounding areas

Contract

Permanent, full time – 40 hours per week

Salary & Benefits

Key Responsibilities

As a Customer Development Executive (CDE), you will:

  • Promote the Walls portfolio to independent retailers.
  • Identify and win high-potential accounts in your territory.
  • Develop and execute a data-driven call plan, driving growth via:
    • Increased distribution
    • Enhanced availability
    • Better visibility
    • Stronger compliance & execution of beloved ice cream brands.
  • Shape and implement your territory strategy with support from your Regional Manager.
  • Build long-lasting customer relationships, tailoring solutions to meet their needs.
  • Ensure optimal in-store execution, leveraging practical activation tactics and influencing wholesaler orders.
  • Create and deliver a winning territory business plan, focusing on growth, sales, and market share expansion.
  • Track performance using data and KPIs, embedding best practices regionally.
  • Manage CAPEX assets, including Freezers on Loan and premium Point-of-Sale materials, ensuring contractual compliance.
  • Support Joint Business Plans (JBPs) within QSR chains at the store level.
  • Maintain robust administrative standards, including accurate reporting, data input, and compliance.

✅ A fun, driven, and target-orientated team player who loves bringing brands to life. ✅ Commercial acumen with a proven drive to win and grow your territory. ✅ Strong communication and relationship-building skills to influence stakeholders. ✅ Preferably—though not essential—experience in FMCG, Direct Sales, Convenience, or Field Sales, with a track record in account/territory development. ✅ Organisational discipline, paired with excellent admin, planning, and negotiation skills. ✅ IT proficiency, comfortable using MS Office, CRM, and sales systems, while leveraging data for decision-making. ✅ Self-motivated, adaptable, able to work independently or collaboratively in a high-performing team.

➔ Essential criteria:

  • Full valid UK driving licence (6 points or fewer, no previous bans)
  • Eligibility to work in the UK
  • Ability to commute from the given location
