Job Description

Salary: £60-65K + car + other benefits

The key function of this role is to drive profitable NSV growth of Iceland and Farmfoods in the given market. The role will involve managing the operational customer relationships internally and externally, including owning the operational commercial relationships within customers.

What will be your key responsibilities?

The Customer Development Manager is responsible for achieving profitable sales and category growth with Iceland and Farmfoods.

  • Lead development and execution of business plan/JBP
  • Create and execute customer plans that deliver company and customer objectives and espouse category leadership principles.
  • Ensures good customer relationships and influence at customer head office to implement solutions (e.g. sales revenue, trade revenue optimisation, customer profitability, category growth, product range, new product launches, placement and pricing) throughout the chain that deliver mutually beneficial results for the customer and company.
  • Execute all agreed to solutions with the customer to include accurate, timely forecasting, detailed follow through and efficient trade revenue optimisation to an agreed budget.
  • Devise and ensure the omni-channel growth within the customer.

What do we need from you?

  • Sales experience that includes selling, negotiating, and leveraging insights to deliver customised customer plans, achieving company and customer objectives, and advancing Category Leadership.
  • Customer experience with direct and head office customers delivering solutions that cover product, placement, promotion and/ or pricing; with a track record of meeting/ exceeding sales objectives.
  • Customer facing experience demonstrated by ability to assess needs, propose mutually beneficial solutions, overcome objections, handle tough situations, manage conflict, and close sale to maximize mutual value.
  • Exposure to leveraging the fundamentals of Category Management to drive growth; ability to tell the category story.
  • Experience in managing a budget and/ or trade revenue optimisation delivering budget and ROI.
