Customer Engagement Representative

Birmingham City Centre | Full-Time | Permanent | Monday to Friday

Here's what this job actually looks like. You spend your day in and around Birmingham city centre talking to people, face-to-face, on behalf of well-known UK brands such as BT/EE, British Gas and Mercedes. No desk. No headset. No reading a cold-calling script down a phone line for eight hours. Real conversations, with real people, about products and services they genuinely use.

If you're currently in retail, hospitality or events, you already have most of what this role needs. You know how to read people, keep your energy up and stay professional when it's busy. The difference here is the schedule: Monday to Friday, 10am to 6pm, with evenings and weekends back in your life.

A typical day

  • Morning briefing with your team, campaign goals and product updates for the day
  • Face-to-face customer engagement at live campaign locations
  • Answering questions, building rapport and representing the brand properly
  • A daily one-to-one or group coaching session to sharpen your skills
  • Wrapping up by 6pm, results logged, done for the day

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
