Technical Sales Specialist – Google Distributed Cloud

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience
  • 10 years of experience in a sales or customer-facing role
  • Experience working with C-level executives and cross-functionally across all levels of management
  • Experience with:
    • Key defense system integrators (SIs)
    • Service providers (SPs)
    • Independent software vendors (ISVs)
  • Experience in managing agreements or partnerships

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in defence and intelligence, including engagements with:
    • Customers
    • Partners
    • Defence ecosystems
  • In-depth knowledge of:
    • Key defence system integrators (SIs)
    • Service providers (SPs)
    • Independent software vendors (ISVs)
  • Understanding or knowledge of the competitive landscape, including:
    • Cloud providers
    • Platforms

About the Role

When leading companies choose Google Cloud, it’s a major milestone in expanding the reach of cloud computing worldwide. After organisations like educational institutions, government agencies, and businesses select Google Cloud, you step in to make their operations more efficient, mobile, and collaborative. Your responsibilities include identifying customer needs and delivering tailored solutions, resolving technical issues for Googlers selling to these customers, and collaborating with product marketing and engineering teams to recognise industry trends and improve Google Cloud offerings.

As part of the Strategic Pursuits organization within the Google Cloud Go-To-Market team, you’ll focus on driving business growth by identifying and executing non-standard growth opportunities. These opportunities help you open new markets, acquire new customers or deepen engagement with existing ones.

As a Technical Sales Specialist for Google Distributed Cloud (GDC), you’ll:

  • Collaborate closely with sales and pre-sales teams to provide complex distributed cloud solutions.
  • Serve as the technical expert for strategic global customers.
  • Lead conversations on cloud offerings while aligning business decisions with Google Cloud services and delivery team innovations.

Compensation (Salaries)

  • Germany: €132,000 – €136,000 (EUR) + 42.86% bonus target + equity + benefits
  • France: €126,000 – €130,000 (EUR) + 42.86% bonus target + equity + benefits

Responsibilities

  • Elevate the business and technical relationship between customers and Google
  • Collaborate with account executives and the broader field organisation to drive strategic pursuits for GDC offerings across the US region
  • Develop a plan to accelerate GDC business in the US by:
    • Growing the pipeline
    • Progressing opportunities towards closing deals
